Like rain my tears fall only they are silent
My soul tears apart from my body
With the pain I struggle with
So many questions I don’t understand
But there is one that surpasses all
Why? Couldn’t you see you were hurting me?
My physical form was bruised and scraped
But you did more inside than you could imagine.
My family was perfect
We lived in splendid harmony
The something snapped inside of you
My life was then altered to a fast and different beat.
I could not hold much longer
I started fighting back in a frenzy
Trying to make up lost punches
My anger grew ’til it enveloped me
My perfect home, shattered, lay before me
Changes were too quick, slow down!
I can’t keep up
I will tire and try no more
Enough. I’m done
Just let me be
You’ve had your fun
When I gain my strength I will go on
You will see a new improved, different me,
Just you wait and see.
Inside the recesses of your mind
Lies a silent spirit,
Whom to this day, torture’s many,
With its single weapon,
One so small, yet enormous,
No one really recognizes the pain,
Until only a scare remains.
The spirit lies deep within us,
So deep we never see it coming
Until it’s too late,
The damage is done.
The spirit is a cloud that covers the sun,
Never to reopen what was there.
The spirit of Lost Friendships
Is the worst of them all,
To most people it is over,
But I have found one solution,
The need of someone to break the silence.
Challenges, trials, difficult times
All have crossed my path
I do my best to make it through
Still shining at the world
The turtle wears a shell
Protection from the harms outside
What protects me?
Shall I build a shell inside?
Comprehension is difficult
But I don’t ask you to understand
My life is my own
I will deal with it as I can
From infancy to the grave
I improve and change my life
Step by step, piece by piece
To feel whole, complete
Me.
Life is hard, nothing turns out right
Some days you see that good is
Allowed so you can smile, good days are
A result for too many bad.
Maybe someday, a good day will
Be given me, I may smile once more
Days go by, I may not see the ones
Given to be good ’cause everything goes wrong for me
I’ll try to smile, then I’ll cry
For happiness isn’t for me, just
Maybe I’ll find luck and have a
Strangely happy day
When life throws you a curve ball
be careful what you say.
When smiles turn suddenly to frowns
you’d better get out of the way.
When things are not going your way
try it another day.
If happiness turns sour and every day is a pain, take an aspirin.
All things corrected, now what do you do?
When life throws you a curve ball, DUCK!
I’d like to tell you a story
About a girl, an average girl
With no where to turn
Her life was turned inside out
And every which way
She survived to the best she could
Traveled on a dusty road
With no one to show her right
Through the dark and dust
She walked
This was not an easy road
Yet she must travel on
The answer was the light
She had to get to the light
Trials stood in her way
She passed every one,
Now only one obstacle stood
Ominous and overbearing
This was too great
Yet she deemed it worthy of her efforts
Last I knew, she was still fighting this thing, her life
Before her yet she had to pass this last test, the test of survival.

The time has come
to step forward.
Once more to progress;
to morph into more,
perfection now closer
as ambitions soar.
Life never stagnates;
still for all time,
more changes and shifts,
fluctuations and flows.
Anticipate goodness–
but prepare for blows.
Cosmos ever-expanding,
Life swiftly marching,
We change, accept, know.
When the time has come
to move once again,
we step anew; to become.
